Step 15: Cookie banner

Below you can see what the cookie banner looks like. You can either reject or accept the terms. You can also click the 'privacy preferences', where more info is displayed about which cookies the customer can accept or not. They can personalize their privacy settings.
You can edit the information through this link: https://yourdomainename.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=uncode-privacy-settings#general or go to your dashboard and click 'privacy'

1. General

You can just follow the settings as below if you'd like

  • Privacy policy page: select your page where you put the policy text
  • Below at 'Privacy center' you can put the text that will be shown in the banner on your website

2. Consents

Add custom consents

You choose what they can accept or what you want from your clients to be able to enable/disable > type the name in 'type of consent' > click add consent

Add default consents

In our GDPR feature you can add custom consent names but you also have defaults consents that enable you to use the fallback functions for all native elements. To add one consent verification, please enter one of the following names (IDs). Pay attention to name your Consents IDs exactly as directed, it's important to respect the same IDs (name) :

YouTube
Vimeo
SoundCloud
Spotify
Twitter
Facebook
Google Fonts
Tracking

Automatically consent

Is it possible that everything is consent by default? Normally, customers must always enable everything themselves manually (to be correct with the comply). But not a lot of clients will accept just a few things, because otherwise the client will see a half working website.

Show what the customer wants based on his cookie and privacy preferences, per block

This is very customized and takes a bit of work when having a big website, but you can determine on the basis of, per row level, which block belongs to your customized consents.

Depending if you set the consent to include/exclude, this will be or not shown to the user, but we do not recommend making any further adjustments in the backend editor if it's not clear, but it is best to contact your project manager for this.

for example: if you have YouTube or Vimeo video's, that shouldn't be shown, you can exclude them (per row in the backend) so they're not shown en the customer won't be tracked/followed by YouTube or Vimeo.

> go to the block where your video is embedded, click the pen icon on the left side > click the tab 'consents' > include/exclude
