Price rules & discounts

Whether it's about sales on specific products, categories or tie-in sales. You can add whatever you like. Here are the options for the price rules explained:

Get started

  • Go to your dashboard and find the price rules icon for the plugin settings
  • An overview with all the price rules will appear
  • Don't forget to set a rule name for this discount rule if you create one, otherwise you won't be able to see the difference between all the created rules.
  • You also don't have to delete them. Just enable or disable them

Quantity discount

For a single or multiple discount you can follow the settings below
  • Set the active rule: yes
  • Priority: this applies if you have also other rules active, and decides which one is more important
  • Rule type: here obviously quantity discount
  • Create quantity rule for the purchase of:
    1. All products (whole website discount)
    2. Specific products (only the ones you decide)
    3. Specific product categories (for example only on the 'shoes' category
    4. Specific product tags (for example summer sale)
  • Apply rule to: type here (based on your preference above) which products, categories or sth else you want to apply the rule to.
  • Exclude products from this rule: click yes if you want to exclude specific products
DISCOUNT RULES:(f.e.) From 1 to 20 apply a % discount of 30%= in this case, all products with the tag outlet will show a discount of 30% off
You can read the other options, but best to set them like in the picture below.

Click save rule at the bottom of the page

Discount on entire shop

This discount rule applies to all the products in your webshop.
  • You can exclude products from this discount though
  • Schedule rule: set a begin and end date for this discount
  • Disable rule for 'on sale products': products that are already in sale, will not be applied to this rule (unless you want to, then you can uncheck this option)

Tie-in sale (koppel- of bulkverkoop)

For this type of discount we need the same settings as the standard quantity discount, you only need to add more discount rules. In this case: BUY 2 PRODUCTS, YOU GET A DISCOUNT OF 30%BUY 3 PRODUCTS, YOU GET A DISCOUNT OF 40%BUY 4 PRODUCTS, YOU GET A DISCOUNT OF 50%BUY 5 (OR MORE) PRODUCTS, YOU GET A DISCOUNT OF 60%

Special offer (3x2, 2x1, etc.)

  • Rule type: select special offer
  • Offer rules: when the customer buys two products, he gets a 10% discount on the second product (in this case)
  • Repeat: Enable this option to repeat the rule. For example, if you offer a 50% discount when purchasing a second product, when the user purchases four products, the rule is applied twice and the user gets a 50% discount on two of the four purchased products.

Buy 1 get 1

This rule is evident. If you buy one product, you get one for free. But you can determine whether this also applies to certain products that are already discounted or products you want to exclude.
  • Set the rule: for a specific product or maybe only for products with the category 'sunglasses'
  • Schedule rule: if you want to set a start and ending time for this discount
  • Disable this rule for 'on-sale products': yes, but you can set it to no if you wish
  • Disable other rules with lower priority: it's probably best to do this. However you can also just set all the other rules to active: no.

Gift products

If you want to gift some products or maybe samples when customers buy products you can choose the gift products rule.
  • Choose which products to offer as a gift: you can choose one or more products for example create a new product (which could be: mascara sample, wrapping gift paper,..).
  • How many gift products the user can select? Default it's one, but if you want your customers to be able to choose between 4 samples for example, set it to 4.
  • Offer gifts if user buy: either the customer just gets a gift with every purchase, or maybe only when buying from a specific brand, tags or category... many options possible. If you want brands, it's probably a category you have to select
  • Offer gift if: there's a minimum of items in cart (f.e.: if they only receive a free sample when buying 2 products) or offer gifts if subtotal is higher then ...€
  • Offer gifts if total items in cart: set how many items the customer has to have in their cart in order to see the free gifts
  • Schedule rule: set a start and end date for this rule

Category discount

Set a discount for product categories. Same rules, settings applies as the ones above.
